Happy Birthday Miranda~

Miranda turned 17 on October 7th. She is growing up so fast. I can't believe I have a child that old. She is a junior in high school. No driver's license yet. She says she can wait. Cline and I are relieved. At times it would be great, but it's expensive and I can only handle Cline and his stress of her dating right now. She has a boyfriend named Blaine. He is very nice and is a good match for Miranda. This Halloween is so different. With the older kids they don't trick or treat anymore. Off they will go to their parties. Katie being only 8 is still all about it. She wants to be a witch. We have been fighting the sickness. First Riley got it. Now Becky is suffering with it. Trying to stay healthy.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Well, as you can see I am not a good blogger. A lot has happened since the last posting. Cline works for Pella Window. Keeping his ear to the ground. Does not want to just sell windows. I have finally found my way back to Cardiology on the Eastside. So I'm in Electrophysiology. That's all the Defibrillators and Pacemakers. I am really excited to be back with the heart patients. This summer brought visitors and we were just thrilled. First came Carmen from Nevada. Miranda and Becky went back home with her for a week. Then flew home. Shortly after her visit. Pam and the other Carmen with baby Emma from California came to visit. We enjoyed the time we had with little Emma. She is adorable. I miss all of you guys so much. The summer brought a new baby to the Douglass clan. Tiffany and Jared welcomed baby Jameson born in June. He is sooooo cute and hopefully we will see them soon.

Hatch Kids 2008

It's hard to believe it's 2009. So much has happened during the month of December. Birthday parties, car accidents, new jobs, major snow storms. Pretty eventful. The month started out with Rebecca having a "HUGE" 15th birthday party. There ended up being 45 kids in my house. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Our house accomodates large groups we found out. Everyone kind of spread out to different rooms. Lots of pizza and good times had by all. Not shortly after this I was rear ended while merging onto the freeway. I was yielding to traffic and a lady slammed into the back of me. I've had some bad whiplash and my car is in the shop. Then we had Riley's big 13th birthday. Much quieter affair. He had some friends over for the night. Played XBOX live and watched movies. We got hit by a major snow storm which covered our city in feets of snow. My kids were out of school for the whole week before Christmas break. So they have been off now for 3wks. They are so ready to go back. For me between the accident and the snow I was pretty much off for 2wks. I was thrilled to get back into the land of the living. Then I recieved a much anticipated call about a job I had applied for a couple months ago at a clinic near my house. I had an interview on Monday the 29th and got it. I will officially start on 1/19. I love Cardiology, but it is time for me to not commute anymore and be closer for my family. I will be working in OB/GYN again. I personally love this Dept. I hope everyone had a safe and Happy ringing in of the New Year. May 2009 bring happiness and prosperity.
